| The Advanced Placement
(AP) Summer Institute, co-sponsored by the College Board
Southern Regional Office, the School of Education, and
the Center for Gifted Education, is a week-long event
that offers current and future AP teachers the opportunity
to work with College Board-approved consultants and
William and Mary faculty on AP course content, teaching
strategies, and programmatic ideas and issues. The classes
are designed for new and beginning teachers of Advanced Placement
courses, teachers with 0-3 years or Advanced Placement teaching experience.

Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and must be reserved by July 3 , 2009. Participants must mention the William and Mary AP Institute to receive conference rates. Institute schedule
August 2 Arrival and registration, 7:30-8:30 a.m., classes end at 4:00 p.m.
August 3 - August 5 Classes meet 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
August 6 Classes meet 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Cancellations and refunds
The $100 deposit is nonrefundable after July 3. Participants unable to attend must notify the Center for Gifted Education in writing by 5:00 p.m. on July 20 to receive a refund of the remaining tuition. Absolutely NO refunds will be processed after July 20.
Schools or individuals will be billed the full amount if a registered participant does not show.
